The Long Beach Business Journal — "The Voice of Business" — was founded in 1987 by George Economides, and in late 2023 was sold to a nonprofit called the Long Beach Journalism Initiative. The Journal publishes comprehensive coverage of the major sectors in Long Beach, including Real Estate, Transportation/Logistics, Finance and Banking, Investment, Education, Health Care, Tourism & Entertainment, Restaurants and Dining and Advanced Manufacturing.

The Business Journal currently publishes quarterly, but we are currently undergoing a survey and discussions with business leaders about increasing our publication frequency in 2026. Please contact me for more information.
