Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Applauds Historic 

Investment in Hydrogen Fuels Hub for Long Beach and Los Angeles

Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce a historic moment for Long Beach and Los Angeles with the U.S. Department of Energy's allocation of $1.2 billion for the establishment of a cutting-edge hydrogen hub. This landmark decision is aligned with the Biden administration's visionary plan to create seven regional hubs nationwide, harnessing the potential of hydrogen as a clean-burning fuel.

This initiative marks a significant leap towards elevating low-carbon hydrogen production and modernizing industries, thereby reducing their carbon footprint. It is with great anticipation that The Chamber also recognize the positive impact this will have on many of Chamber members within the industry.

This landmark funding will not only reduce emissions but also boost the economic growth in the Southern California region. It is definitely a game changer for Long Beach.
