Crimson is a privately-held company that was established in 2005, focused on acquiring, upgrading and operating existing crude oil pipelines. With corporate offices located in Denver, CO, the company operates its California pipelines from offices in Long Beach, Santa Paula, and Bakersfield, CA. The heart of the pipeline operations is Crimson's state-of-the-art 24-hour Pipeline Control Center located in Bakersfield, CA which oversees operations of all pipelines. The California pipeline network, which traverses approximately 1500 miles, is comprised of 27 pipeline systems connected to nearly every local crude oil production site and six Los Angeles area refineries. Active operations are located in Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, Kern and San Joaquin Valley counties. A growing and expanding company, in 2020 Crimson expanded its operation to the Central Valley of California with the acquisition of approximately 600 miles of pipelines from Shell Oil.
